Self-Offloading Deliveries for Any Site
The biggest headache with heavy deliveries is the “last mile” at the site. You can get the goods there on time, but if the site’s forklift is broken, the driver is on lunch, or there’s no plant equipment available at all, your delivery is stuck. You’re left paying for a truck to sit idle or, worse, paying for the goods to be brought back to the warehouse.
Our Moffett (truck-mounted forklift) service removes that risk entirely. We bring the offloading equipment with us, so we can get the job done without needing anyone else’s help.
Total Independence on Every Job
We don’t need to wait for a site forklift or a telehandler to become available. Our drivers arrive, unhook the Moffett in less than a minute, and start offloading immediately.
The Benefit: You aren’t at the mercy of the site’s schedule. Whether it’s an unfinished building site or a remote yard with zero equipment, we handle the “final meters” ourselves, saving you from costly aborted deliveries and wasted time.
Massive Lifting Power – 2.5t Capacity
Don’t confuse a Moffett with a standard pallet jack. These are serious pieces of kit designed for heavy-duty manufacturing and construction products.
The Benefit: With a 2.5-tonne lifting capacity, we can handle everything from heavy metal fabrications and industrial doors to bulk building materials. If we can fit it on the truck, our Moffett can usually offload it.
The Right Truck for the Space (26t & Artic Options)
Not every site has the same amount of room. A massive artic might be great for volume, but it won’t fit down a tight country lane or into a small urban yard.
- The Benefit: We offer both 26-tonne rigid vehicles and full Artic trailer options.
- Use our Rigids for tighter access where space is a premium.
Use our Artics when you need to move maximum volume but still need the power of a forklift at the other end.
Precision Placement (Point-of-Use)
Standard deliveries usually end at the “kerbside.” But if your customer needs those windows or steel beams placed at the back of a site or inside a specific unit, a normal truck can’t help.
The Benefit: Our Moffetts are “all-terrain” and highly manoeuvrable. We can take your goods across gravel, mud, or through narrow gaps to place them exactly where the fitters need them. It saves your customer from having to move the goods twice, making you look like the expert partner.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a Moffett, and when should I use one?
A Moffett is a versatile, lightweight forklift that is carried on the rear of our trailers. You should book a Moffett when your delivery site lacks a forklift or loading bay. It allows our driver to be completely self-sufficient—offloading your goods and placing them exactly where they need to be without any help from site staff.
What kind of terrain can a Moffett handle?
Our Moffett fleet is designed for multi-terrain use. Unlike a standard warehouse forklift, a Moffett can navigate:
- Construction Sites: Moving through mud, gravel, and uneven ground.
- Events & Festivals: Delivering to grass fields or temporary structures.
- Agriculture: Accessing farm tracks and narrow barn entrances.
- Restricted Access: Its compact size allows it to nip into tight spaces where a full-sized HGV cannot fit.
Does using a Moffett save me money?
Yes, significantly. By using a Moffett, you eliminate the need to hire separate plant machinery or pay for a dedicated forklift driver to wait on-site. It also prevents “failed delivery” charges caused by a lack of offloading equipment.
Is a Moffett the same as a Tail-lift?
No. A tail-lift merely drops the goods at the rear of the vehicle on the road or pavement. A Moffett allows us to transport the goods away from the vehicle, across a site, and place them exactly where your team needs them.
What is the lifting capacity of a Moffett?
Our standard Moffetts typically have a lifting capacity of up to 2,500kg (2.5 tonnes). They are perfect for palletised goods, bulk bags of aggregates, or timber packs. If your load is heavier than this, we may recommend a HIAB crane solution instead.
Can the Moffett deliver inside a building?
Depending on the height of the doorway and the internal floor surface, yes. Because they are highly manoeuvrable, they are excellent for delivering directly into warehouses, hangars, or large commercial units where a lorry cannot enter.
